The key to cute summer hair is to keep it simple. Complicated styles that take forever take away from your fun in the sun!
Heat and humidity can make your hair feel heavy, so you may want to lighten up on your styling products. For example, if you usually use a hair serum to keep frizz at bay, you may want to use less of it–and only on the ends. If you’re still worried about frizz, spritz a lightweight shine spray on your brush and run it through your strands.
For the best summer hair, unless it’s a special occasion and there’s zero humidity, stick with your natural texture. Why? If it’s hot or muggy outside, chances are you’re going to sweat–and wet hair will just undo whatever curls, waves, or straightening efforts you put into it! Plus, who wants to deal with the extra heat of a blow dryer, curler or straightening iron when it’s already a billion degrees out?
Another tip? If you have bangs, you may want to grow them out or pin them back (Snooki was on to something with that Jersey Shore pouf!). They’ll be a pain if and when you get sweaty otherwise. You can always rock them at night and this fall!
