Calling girls &quot;bitches&quot; and perpetuating stereotypes of teenage girls as catty? When I first found gURL in 2006, it was a great site reminiscent of &quot;New Moon Magazine&quot; and other media that let girls be girls outside the sexist framework established by women&#039;s magazines-- a resource for learning about sexuality but not learning how to be an object. I envisioned directing my niece to it when she was older.
