Oh boy. I haven’t had my nails done in such a long time. Since my wedding, I think! (Yikes. Maybe I’d beettr get on that.) I really liked acrylics, but they grow out quickly, and they are stuck to your nails. No getting them off easily. When you do get them off, your nails are trashed. It’s kind of gross. But they look really nice. If I could go a single day without getting white board marker dust in my hands and nails at work, I’d get them again. Maybe. The cost is another thing to consider…
1. How often do you paint your nails?
About every other day. Sometimes if I have a more complicated mani that I’m proud of, I’ll keep it longer, but no more than a couple of days. And once it chips, it gets removed and replaced immediately. My nails never go without polish!
2. Are they painted right now? If so, what color?
Yes they are! I’ve done a light grey with black tips that I dry-marbled upwards into a sort of flame/smoke design. It looks awesome!
3. What’s your favorite color to paint your nails?
I don’t have a favorite. I love doing designs, so usually I need all kinds of colors and they vary greatly. It totally depends on my mood!
4. What’s your favorite kind of nail polish?
I love Essence Color & Go nail polish. It’s easy to work with and dries very quickly.
5. Do you keep your nails clean and trimmed all the time, or just sometimes?
I try to keep them as nicely done as I can. Seeing as I have horses and am at the barn every day, it definitely isn’t easy on my nails. But I try not to break them and to keep them clean.
6. How often do you get manicures?
I rarely, if ever, get my nails done professionally. I do however manicure myself every other day or so.
7. How often do you paint your nails on your own?
Again, I do so almost every other day. Depending on the status of my mani and my mood of course.
8. Have you ever tried to do any crazy nail art, like animals or ombre nails?
Oh, I do so all the time! I get bored by simple colors so I do all sorts of designs. I love it!
9. What nail art do you wish you knew how to do?
I really love the flowery and water marbling stuff, but my flowers usually smudge or look funny and water marbling is a huge mess!
10. Are your nails long or short?
They are medium I guess. I keep them as long as I can without risking to break them at the barn. They’re like a couple of mm over my nail bed. It’s perfect for me.
11. Do you bite your nails?
I used to. But ever since I take care of them and paint them all the time, I quit and they’ve grown out nicely!
12. What color would you never paint your nails?
I can’t stand that purple-grey-ish light nail polish that looks like you’re a corpse! That’s just awful!

I love gradient yellow-orange-red nails with palm trees in black on them!

Very cute! I actually had a french mani with golden/champagne-glittery tips for my wedding. It looked stunning! Also I love the variety. Doesn’t always have to be soft pink with white in my book….

Honestly… Very rarely! Can’t stand my toenails. Not because they’re unhealthy, they’re just not worth the hassle.

I too love a good manicure. The no-fail way to make it last logner is toapply it with top coat every day or at least every other day. You’ll besurprised how much logner your mani lasts.Sincerely,Mich (Fashionista from Chicago).
