In the world of Disney, some things just aren’t fair–and one of those things is the popularity game. The sparkly Disney Princesses of course rule the school like Regina George and her crew (okay, maybe they’re nicer, but still)–then comes Tinkerbell, Simba, and maybe a couple of fashionable, timeless mice to round up the A-listers.

But what about all the others? If you look up a list of animated Disney characters on Wikipedia, the list seems to go on and on and ON forever. What about all of them? Can’t we show those guys some love? Yes. I think we can. And? I think some characters deserve it in a major way.

Here are the top five underrated Disney characters that we should all show a little more love toward!

Wendy Darling from Peter Pan

She’s prettier than some of the princesses, she’s adventurous, she’s a storyteller, AND she’s the one that cutie Peter Pan has a huge crush on. All reasons why we have a major girl crush on this girl!

Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast

Okay. Not only is she an adorable singing tea pot, but she’s a tea pot who can Make. Your. Bed. Now, I love being taken care of and having my bed made–but having your bed made by a tea pot (who has no hands!) and who can still somehow tuck the corners in? Without spilling tea on your sheets? That in itself is nothing short of miraculous. Without a doubt, one of the most magical Disney characters ever.

He never gets anything quite right, yet he’s the dwarves’ fearless leader and everyone loves him. Just goes to show that as long as your heart’s in the right place (and you can admit when you’re wrong) you can still go far.

Pocahontas

She’s not just another one of the many nameless Disney characters people forget about–girlfriend’s got her very own movie–in fact, the title is her NAME, but everyone forgets about this kick-butt heroine. Pocahontas is super fun, daring, brave, open-minded, and passionate–definitely a girl we admire–plus, um, that HAIR! It’s amazing! Maybe the best hair in Disney history! Where’s her spot among the Disney Princesses? We wanna know!

Daisy Duck

She’s the most old-school of the old school, yet Daisy ALWAYS gets forgotten. Mickey and Minnie and Donald get all the love, but what about this feisty quacker with a fierce flair for fashion? Seriously, I think Nicki Minaj took a few satorial cues from this diva duck!
