In 6th grade, about 10 more girls had it.
In 7th grade, half the girls in my class had gotten theirs.
In 8th grade, all of my girl friends had it.
In 9th grade, I was the only girl I knew that still hadn’t gotten her period.
Out of all my friends and all of the girls I knew at school I was the only one who hadn’t “become a woman” yet. It was so embarrassing and the worst part was that I had started feeling like the little sister around my group of friends.
In the locker room they were always saying things like “Does anyone have a tampon?” or “I have the worst cramps ever” or the most annoying…“We have the same cycle because we hang out so much!” Seriously, kill me. I was mad because my friends were all growing up at the right speeds and they weren’t waiting for me to catch up with them. It was so unfair!
Being so pissed off about my situation, I stared to acting kind of bitchy to my friends at school. I was grumpy and I just wished that we could all go back in time to that little slice of heaven before girls started getting stupid periods.
“What’s wrong, Carson? Are you like PMSing or something?” one of my friends asked me during lunch.
“Yes.” I heard myself lie before I even had a chance to think about it.
They couldn’t believe that I hadn’t told them that I had started my period.
“I just didn’t want to make a big deal out of it.” The lie was growing.
I kept it up for about two months. I complained about my boobs being sore and about my monthly “chocolate cravings.” I even taught one of my friends how to use a tampon! From the outside, I was the textbook definition of a girl who had her period. Because well…that’s where I was getting my information.

My friends tried to help, digging through their purses in search of a pad or a tampon, but no luck. Sprinting to the medical booth, I prayed that they would have a pantyliner because HELLO I had never really used a tampon before; I was only pretending!
“Sorry, this is all we’ve got,” said the nurse as she passed me the Monster of All Tampons. Seriously, the thing was bigger than a microphone. And to make matters worse, it had no applicator. I had no idea what I was doing.
In the end, I had to ask my friends for help, which led to admitting that I was a grade-A menstruation fraud, which ultimately led to a whole lot of humiliation. But eventually they got over it and so did I. Now, I just can’t believe that I actually wanted to get my period so badly…it totally sucks!

i had faked mine for the same reason
I was bout 11 1/2 when I got mine but I didn’t have any of the symptoms that my mom told me about. But she forgot to mention that it can be brown or dark dark red your first few times. I didn’t know what was going on so I ignored it. It was happening for like a week before I told mom and told her to take a look at my under wear. She just laughed really hard and told me I was on my period. I wanted to cry. Then she told my dad and every woman in our family. My dad found out when I went to his house for the weekend and mom handed him a box of mydoll now every time I go over there he asks my if I need any “girl stuff” how embarrassing
I got it in the 6th grade but by the time I was in 7th grade I was faking it like a pro to get out of gym. If I didn’t feel good or I had a sore body part I would tell my male gym teacher “girl problems” men don’t ask one question its just “go sit on the bench.” ;D but sometimes my friends would get upset with me for faking it but then they just started doing it too. Is that a bad thing to do once in a while???
i was just like too you know i was worried and knida sceard cuz all my girls freind get their period expted me, but now i finally got it and i am happy to be normal lol ahh not everytimes … but still :p
im 11 and i carry around pads in my backpack just in case i start my period… this annoying boy in my class took my backpack while we were on the bus and found my pads…he kept saying you on your periond you on your period uggh i was so embarrassed!!!

you should feel lucky that you got it later because i got mine the week BEFORE i turned 11 it sucked i couldn’t play with my 2 little brothers and they kept asking me why i was acting so weird and i wanted to cry cause i couldn’t cause of all the cramps that i got !

i did! at grade 6 then i went to a new school and i got my period at grade 7 i felt it’s a bad lie that’s why i regret it but for me nothing bad happend i just hate myperiod now
I totally agree periods suck! I always get the worst cramps.
i have my period and what is worse then faking is this : i was on the phone with my mom and i said ”mom i need some more pads and tampons ” then i head some gaging and my 2 bros that r in high school was standing there OMG OMG OMG OMG all the boys then started to not talk to me for a whole week they just would sit and stare like she is tottally Gross with a capital G just think if u were me how would u feel to have every man in the house knowing that u started ur period and that u were close to it if u nedded to buy pads THINK REAL HARD REAL HARD
