“Call Me Maybe” is everywhere these days. We love the video and all the celebrity covers by Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Big Time Rush, and Katy Perry! Carly Rae rose to stardom on the fifth season of Canadian Idol when she placed third.
Unbelievably, she is only the sixth Canadian artist to have a #1 top charted single in her home country, along with good company Avril Lavigne, Nelly Furtado and Sarah Maclachlan. We’re totally excited to hear what she puts out next and see her career blossom in the next couple of years. That’s why Carly Rae Jepsen is our Gurl Crush of the Week.
