Our second season of delicious DIY Do It, Gurl videos is almost here and we’re super excited to introduce our new host: Jamie Petitto. One thing for sure, this girl is crafty.

Get ready to turn your mama’s humdrum arts and crafts (no offense mom, macaroni art is totally cool) into fierce fashion, room decor, and plenty more.

We don’t mean to brag about her or anything but here’s some cool stuff you might want to know about Jamie:

 
 

* Jamie graduated from the Upright Citizens Brigade improv theatre (where none other than Amy Poehler got her start).

* She is a stand-up comic and performs with an all-girl sketch comedy troupe. Bonus points for bringing the lolz and the girl power!

* She aspires to be like Ellen Degeneres (who doesn’t?) and wants to host her own show one day–Do It, Gurl seems like a pretty cool start to us.

There’s nothing cooler than a girl who can get down, dirty and girly. Not to mention she lists Ke$ha as one of her guilt-free pleasures. She’s not just a hilarious DIY’er, though. Jamie is also an athlete. Determined? Well-rounded? Ambitious? Yes. Yes. Yes. This girl has done half marathons, soccer pick ups, and Tough Mudder races. If you’re not familiar with Tough Mudder than you need to know: they’re 10-12 mile obstacle courses . . . in mud, with electric wires–and sometimes people get electrocuted. No joke!
