Keep a diary! We know, we know–you’re probably like, “C’mon, I get enough homework as it is!” But here’s the thing. Writing down your feelings as you go through a breakup will accomplish a few things: It will let you vent without pissing off your friends (they heart you, but can only take so much!), and it’ll be a good marker for your progress as you go about erasing this douchebag from your life.
Even if the only thing you jot down is “I don’t feel like writing about some jerk today,” it’s still something–and it’ll give you a bit of clarity on your feelings, which is awesome… And you can say all the crazy things (read: revenge plots you will never carry out) you want without anyone judging you!
