The Muppets star Jason Segel has said more than once that he’d love to have a certain VIP female as his dream co-star–and if he signs on to The Muppets 2, he’ll get his wish.

It’s not Emily Blunt, Kristen Bell, or Bella Thorne. Jason Segel’s dream co-star is none other than Secretary of State Hillary Clinton!

Talking about Mrs. Clinton, Jason told reporters, has said “I just feel like she would be good at comedy. I think you can feel it from a mile away.” Jason said he wanted Hillary to be in a sequel to Forgetting Sarah Marshall with him, titled Sarah Marshall 2: This Time It’s Personal.

However, seeing as Hillary Clinton is pretty busy with international affairs and White House business (and texting!), their screen time will be a bit delayed. Ever the class act and always knowing what she wants, Hillary Clinton also had a mandatory request that went along with her participation in a movie with Jason Segel. She wrote him a polite rejection letter but left the door open for a collaboration later.

Jason Segel took to Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to announce his rejection:

Once the episode aired, news outlets went nuts trying to get their hands on the letter–and Politico succeeded! Check out Hil’s classy response to Jason Segel’s insistence that she’s “the mother” on How I Met Your Mother:

“I was delighted to read about your interest in sharing the big screen with me. As you can imagine, I am a little occupied at the moment, but perhaps someday I can help you forget Sarah Marshall … again. My only condition is that there be Muppets involved, and that is non-negotiable. In the meantime, you have my best wishes for continued success with your career.”

Jason Segel was right about one thing, though: Hillary Clinton is pretty good at comedy. She made a cameo on Saturday Night Live in ’08 and nailed it. We think she’d be able to hold her own with Fozzy Bear, Gonzo, and Animal–though if Miss Piggy has her way, only one powerful blonde may be allowed to hit the silver screen with her Kermie.
