I agree with regard to the sexism. The two that really got me were the irresponsible spending on a purse (because as we all know, women can’t manage money and just spend on material possessions instead of being responsible) and the “Ew, I can’t change the oil in a car! I’m a WOMAN, I can’t get my nails dirty!” This is the most sexist crap ever. Seriously, this site is an odd fusion of feminism and sexism at the same time. I’m confused.

I agree too. The only one of these that’s a bit true for me is the prom one… but really my dad and I have a close relationship and I don’t lie to him. But who the hell would tell their dad about how their feeling during their period?!

Dude I always tell my dad about my period symptoms to get out of stuff! i dont think he even knows a period comes once a month, because i use the excuse like 3 times at different parts of the month. Ive also used the “books in my bag” excuse. But its not like i was hiding it from both my parents. It’s one of those things that your mom has no problem with but your dad will blow a fuse and then some.

My dad wouldn’t really care if I was in pain or not. He’d say “The world is full of pain, suck it up and get to work the oil doesn’t change itself.” Also, the whole I want to buy a new purse and I stuffed it with a hair iron, I don’t even bother about that stuff. I have more interesting things than worry about how people think I dress.
