My dad seriously made me want to disappear a few months ago when he finally met my boyfriend. We arranged to go out to brunch–I even picked a cute ’50s diner that I knew my dad would love–and I figured everything would be fine. I mean, really how much can a dad embarrass you at one brunch? A lot, apparently.
My dad and his wife were there when my boyfriend and I walked in, and immediately upon introducing him to my boyfriend (who happens to be pretty tall–much taller than my dad, actually), my dad made this exaggeratedly shocked face, guffawed, and said:
“Gee, guy, how’s the air up there?!”
I could not believe of all the things he could say, like, um, maybe “Hello” would have been a good start–he had to make some corny joke about my boyfriend’s height. I wanted to die.

Thats not that bad. A friend of mines boyfriend is two years older than her and when he first met her dad he said to him, “Now son you can come over whenever you want, spend the night if you’d like but then I’d have to cut your dick off.” Friend was horrified, friend’s boyfriend died of laughter later. And as for me, my own father didn’t believe me when I said i was going on a date with my now boyfriend, thought he was too good for me, even told him that the first time he came over
Ok so my dad said if he tried anything he would kill him and i was soo shocked.
When i was 12 my crush came over for me to tutor him and my dad said,”I am so sorry but my daughter doesnt like players” he could have stopped but nope,he kept going and asked him to leave our house and was so rude to him like he coughed and my dad told him to excuse himself for FARTING really my dad still does that around my boyfriends now.
I have one. But it’s not so much embarrassing as it is just plain weird. I live away from my parents but my boyfriend is in the same town as my parents. He goes over to my patents to pick up some of my grandmas baking and my parents are watching a movie that currently has a lot of sex on the screen. My (step dad since I was 2) says “don’t worry you’ll be doing a lot of that in about a week or so” then he laughs. (My boyfriend gets here in a week or so) my bf ignored it but then my mom referred to it saying ‘oh, he didn’t hear you’. It made him feel very uncomfortable. My mom is now mad that I told her it was inappropriate.
I’m 24. Is that normal comment from a father figure???
Really? Are you serious? This isn’t even a little embarrassing to me. Now I’m just annoyed…expecting something way worse than this.
Thats not even almost embarrassing I thought it something really bad when I clicked this link -__-
Come on! Don’t feel so bad! I don’t even consider this embarrassing! xD
ummm not bad dad stuff her but my mom totally untied my bikini top while in the pool in front of my boyfriend as a joke <_< ha ha mom very funny
I actually think that was pretty lamely cute of your dad.
Wow…that wasnt that bad, or embrassing…that was disapointing
o gosh my dads the worst! lol
That’s not humiliating…this is humiliating. When I was about 15, we went out to a restaraunt with my family, plus some cousins and my aunt and uncle. We had an attractive waiter that my dad caught me checking out. When he came to our table next, my dad blurts out “my daughter thinks you’re cute.” But no, he didn’t stop there. “Do you think she’s cute? Would you date my daughter?” I was blushing so bad, I sunk down in my chair and covered my face. The waiter laughed nervously, went back to fill up our water pitcher, and we had a new waitress for the remainder of the meal. That pretty much scarred me for life, I never checked out a guy around my dad again (luckily I’m married now and never have to worry about it lol).
woooooow that is insane! i am sooo sorry. it would not be too bad, but the fact that the waiter did not come back? *shakes head* atleast it will always be the story you always laugh about in the future.
