12 Awesome Catchphrases From ’90s TV Shows

When you think of old ’90s TV shows, a few things probably stand out more than others. One of those things is definitely the catch phrases we all adopted from those awesome shows. Who can really imagine Full House without “You got it, dude” or Kenan & Kel without orange soda?!

We’ve put together our list of the best ’90s catch phrases from TV. Watch the videos to listen to some of your fave characters saying some of your fave lines – we guarantee it’s going to make you feel totally nostalgic! Peep the vids and then let us know which your favorite was.

“How you doin?”: Joey from Friends

I’d bet that Joey Tribbiani’s slightly creepy yet totally adorable signature phrase was said in pretty much every episode of Friends. And who doesn’t still try to mimic it?!

“Have mercy”: Uncle Jesse from Full House

Oh, Uncle Jesse. One of my first real (and totally inappropriate) celeb crushes – and I’m sure I’m not the only one.

“Did I do that?”: Steve Urkel from Family Matters

Family Matters would be nothing without Urkel… and Urkel would be pretty much nothing without these signature words.

“Oh my God, they killed Kenny!”: South Park

Okay, yeah, South Park is still on the air… but the time when this phrase came about and was most popular was back in the ’90s. Let’s just say Kenny has died a lot.

“How rude!”: Stephanie from Full House

Little Stephanie Tanner could not have been more cute every time she said this, no matter how angry she was. And I might still totally use this phrase…

“I’m the baby, gotta love me!”: Dinosaurs

Not sure how I forgot about this show, but somehow I did. Dinosaurs was a little creepy, but still totally awesome, and the baby was definitely the best character.

“What do you wanna do tonight…”: Pinky & The Brain

“….the same thing we do every night, Pinky. Try to take over the world!” Such a classic!

“Fe-fe-fe-feeeeny”: Eric Matthews from Boy Meets World

Ugh, how I wish Boy Meets World was still on the air. It was only one of the best shows of all time, and let’s be serious – Mr. Feeny was one of the best TV characters of all time.

“Whoa!”: Joey from Blossom

I totally had a crush on Joey Blossom when this TV show was on (as did most of you, I’m sure). The way he said ‘Whoa’? Totally adorable.

“Doh”: Homer from The Simpsons

The Simpsons has been around so long we’re sure there are tons of things that have been said that are super popular… but ‘doh’ might be the very best.

“Who loves orange soda?”: Kel from Kenan & Kel

“Who loves orange soda? Kel loves orange soda! I do, I do, I do-o-oo-o!” You definitely say this every time you drink orange soda, don’t lie.

“You got it, dude!”: Michelle from Full House

Look how cute little Mary-Kate and Ashley were in Full House. This is one of the best phrases ever, hands down.

To many Full House ones man. You also forgot “Not the mama!” from Dinosaurs “5 minutes, the show starts in 5 minutes!” from all that “You dumb babies!” from the Rugrats “Gotta Catch Em All!” from Pokemon and “It’s Morphin Time!” from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, just to name a few off the top of my head. Full House was great don’t get me wrong but it was not the only great show from the 90’s and some of those lines were really substandard as catch phrases.
