7) Get a tutor!
Sometimes a subject is just hard for you, and it’s not for lack of studying or trying. (For me, it was chemistry equations. Everyone around me seemed to get it, but not me!) In this case, the best thing to do is to seek out a tutor, someone who can give you the one-on-one attention and practice you need. If your parents are willing, maybe they can hire one for you. Students from local universities usually make great (and fairly inexpensive!) tutors. If that isn’t an option, see if your school has free tutoring or learning center options. Sometimes schools will even let students tutor in exchange for community service hours. If you have a friend who’s particularly good at the subject, you can always ask them for help, in exchange for baked goods or music exchanges or something!
8 ) Care
The best way to improve your grades in high school is to just care about your grades. If you pay attention, take good notes, study, and seek help when you need it, you’re bound to start improving your scores. Just don’t blow it off — as hard as it is to believe, high school doesn’t last forever. Don’t wait til it’s too late — start getting good grades now.
