I say go with your friends bcaeuse that’s what I’m doing and since you only have a month, it’s your best bet unless you miraculously get a boyfriend or a guy of interest in the next few days, standing up to your dad and going with friends is the next best thing. It’s not the old days, ppl don’t really go with dates much anyways unless they been together for a long time. And if your already 18 then your dad can’t really force you not to go! But I hope you go and enjoy your prom!!! (:

Gurl, if I was in your place I would tell my dad that I loved him but I didn’t wanna go to the dance with a date. I would be much more happier with my friends. If he asks you why, tell him you don’t like any boy and you don’t want misunderstandings, you just want to have a good time with your friends. If your dad doesn’t really let you go to the dance without a date then take one of your guy friends, or your best guy friend but let the boy know from the beggining that you’re not into him, not that way, you just invited him because he is a good friend.
