This is why I NEVER get my hair cut by anyone with less than 5 years experience and that seems uninvolved with her other clients (I ask to watch cutting technique on whomever is ahead of me on her list). They can f-up BIG TIME. Like you, I got a bad haircut, but it was my normal salon and they gave me a new stylist. She was an elderly Korean woman who told me I looked ‘Punky’ and gave my asymmetrical layers on a bob… So I grew it out for two months, asked for my normal girl, told her ‘give me straight layers, but otherwise, cut it off until it’s even’ it’s been a year now and I just now like how my hair is again. At least it wasn’t the biggest hair disaster ever.
My ex-BFF and her sister are both very, um, ‘handsome’ and let their mother shear off their hair with shavers every month. They look like very, very ugly guys, and are normally mistaken for guys. They’re both a lot better looking with longer hair.
I can relate.. I got a haircut from this Chinese hair salon by these old guys who had terrible hair cut and bad taste. My mom’s friend who has ugly super short bangs & frizzy hair invited us to the salon. I went for it anyways asking for simple layers b/c I needed just a trim, and they hacked my hair off & made my bangs short like my mom’s friend!! Then he told me my face was fat. I was pissed off & had to wait months for it to grow out. Now I never let anyone cut my hair unless they themselves have good taste, and nice hair.
That is so TRUE!! I ask them to cut into layers or choppy EXACTLY in the magazine, BUT they ALWAYS cut my hair close to my face!! No where close to the picture. Wasted $20….
