Sometimes, even the best intentioned guys can say things that make you shake your head for years. YEARS! Enter dads. We all know they mean the best, but sometimes they say, well, the worst. Take my dad, for example.

My junior prom date of my dreams cancelled on me a week before Prom. I was inconsolably bummed and spent days wandering around my house in my never-to-be-worn prom dress, a blubbering mess of tears and taffeta. In an effort to fix the situation, my dad actually said:

“Well, I still have my tuxedo from my tap dancing days. I could see if it still fits and go to the prom with you.”

The sweetest, right? But, come on. My dad? In a tuxedo? At my Prom? Probably tap dancing? The worst idea in the history of terrible ideas!
