Porn is one of those awkward topics that you either talk about and accept, or never talk about and maybe even disapprove of. Whether you’re into it yourself or think it’s super degrading, there’s one thing for sure: none of us want to think about our parents watching it.
So what would you do if you saw your dad watching porn? This convo in the message boards caught our attention, and we wanna know: do you think it’s totally inappropriate for parents (or anyone) to be looking at porn? almost the exact same thing happened to me. it was almost 3 years ago though, and i never really brought it up to him but i think i was on his laptop in front of him and purposely opened the new tab thing so he would see, but i didnt say anything about the most visit and just kept going to the site i was going too, so obviously he realized. i havent seen it again so he either stopped or got better at hiding it.
but i felt the exact same way, it just made me sick to my stomach even though i realize its kinda human nature, just thinking of my mom and stuff !

What do we think? Well, as much as some gURLs might not like it, porn is kind of everywhere these days, and it’s become way more acceptable for men (and gURLs!) to watch it. As long as your dad’s not addicted to it (and he’s at least trying to keep it to himself!) it shouldn’t be a problem.

I dont know what im supposed to do. I was opening some folders on my dads computer and i saw his porn. Bloody videos. I dont know how im supposed to react. I was with my friends about a week ago and I asked my dad if I could use his computer to listen to some music so I went on and clicked on Internet explorer and a little tab came up saying xhamster porn or something and I thought ok that’s just one website,so I go onto the google thing where your most recent sites are and it came up with 8 DIFFERENT SITES ALL AT THE TOp!!
I,m rlly disappointed in my dad but my parents are divorced so I know I shouldn’t worry to much but at the same time it makes me think of him getting at girlfriend/new mum again(my parents only just broke up)

my dad watches porno all day, and very loudly. the room is by the kitchen and bathroom so I can’t but to hear it since those are areas I need to go to. I know it’s a normal thing, and I used to watch porno myself (in my locked room with headphones)… but it’s just so weird to have to hear the moaning and screaming and knowing what he’s probably doing… I tried telling him to turn it down or get headphones but he doesn’t and sometimes he even puts it louder to the point I can hear it across the house if I open my bedroom door. People are saying it’s a normal thing… but there feels to be a fine line where it’s wrong to keep watching it around a daughter regardless of her age. I can no longer watch porno myself without thinking about him sitting there watching it, and it’s starting to make me feel weird about sex and I’m not sure I’ll be able to handle a boyfriend that watches porn because of this (and I know it’s normal and alot of men do, so I would be ok/accepting of a boyfriend watching porn sometimes and wouldn’t mind even joining him but now I don’t think I could because listening to my father watch it has ruined my image of it). What can I do? How can I not let this damage me later?
A year ago I was over at my neighbor’s house and she, her dad and I were sitting and talking on their porch. I love her dad like he’s my dad, but I found an unfortunate thing on his iphone..
So while we were talking, I wanted to show them a hotel on the beach my family was about to go to, so he let me use his iphone to look it up. While I was doing that, she and her dad talked about camping or something. When I opened the safari thing, it was on the history, log, and it was cleared. At first I was like ‘Ehh that’s probably nothing’, so I went to google and typed in our hotel name, started with a T, and “Tracy Eskavel Free Porn” came up on the google recent searches. At first I was like ‘it’s okay, it’s only one thing..’ but later it showed many more porn websites and video recent searches. I was freaked out. He’s such a nice guy, but it’s almost like he’s addicted to porn! I ended up not telling my friend, but whenever I see her dad I still always think about what I saw on his iphone
I’m so glad theres people talking about this, I found a lot of things on the iPad that my dads been looking at, which happens too often and Ive told him so many times for years and he still does it, I thought I was just overreacting but looking at the comments I guess it’s normal to be angry at him. Once when I was about 6 I was playing on this photo editing game, but I didn’t have any more pics to use, so my dad let me choose from the p3 pics he had stored on the computer, I was 6, seriously?!

I think it’s pretty bad. I saw my dad watching porn when I was five and i still get reoccuring images from it. Matter of fact my dad was aware of me being in the room a few times when I was little and didn’t even care if it scarred me or not because in his eyes “she’s a kid her memory aint fully developed yet and she don’t know what that is” but now I do. Oh and I believe both cheating and porn are on the same level. Dad did that too in all three marriages. Sorry for the personal sketch.
i c my dad looking at magizines of that stuff all the time and just THAT discusts me so if i catch my dad watching porn all hell will brake loose i would be screaming my head off and then barfing (while he’s not here of corse) then i would be like heck no and i would distroy all porn ever brought in the house i mean really he has 3 kids he DON’T need no porn!

i just caught my grandpa watching porn….it was sooooooo not ok! i suspected tht he did b4 becauseof the history on his computer but this morning i walked in on him watching it. its so weird because i love him to death and it hurts me because i dont want to think of that everytime i see him again

Well, I don’t really know what I would do in this situation… my parents are divorced… but a year or two ago I actually caught my mom watching porn. Not watching it, but I needed to use her laptop for something before I got mine, and it was on her Internet when I opened it. She wasn’t home so I just shut it quickly and never brought it up… but it hurt because a year before that, I had accidentally gotten myself into some of it and she told me it was bad and wrong and no one should ever watch it. Hypocrite.
Would you rather have your dad or mom cheat on each other or watch porn so i dont think its that bad
hmm well a while ago i was snooping in my dads stuff and found porn magazines nd videos. so at first i was like omg ew but u never know if he’s trying to pull new moves on mom or please him self. it’s not so much cheating but really think about it. i mean some dad’s still don’t want that part of their life over jst yet.
