Puberty

You’ll Start Sweating More

During puberty, your sweat glands become larger and more active. This can start happening even before your breasts begin developing.

You’ll Get Your Period

Whether you want it or not, this is the time a gURL starts menstruating. The average age for a gURL to get her first period is 11-years-old, but it’s different for everyone, so don’t be stressed about it. During the first two years of menstruation, your period is probably going to be very irregular.

You’ll Notice Some Discharge Down There

It’s easy to get freaked out by discharge, but don’t. It’s natural, and is your body’s way of cleaning your vagina. It can be clear, yellow or white. Discharge is usually an indication that you’ll be getting your period soon.

The only time you need to worry about discharge is if it smells or if you have any pain down there.

Your Skin Will Start Breaking Out

During this time, the pores in your skin are producing more oil, so it’s natural to start getting acne, especially on your face. You’ll probably have to wash your face and hands a lot more. You might also notice that your hair feels oily. That’s totally normal, too.
