    I love Switched at Birth!

Hello??!!! The video was not in sign language or even captioned… How many deaf kids are able to watch this and understand, do you think? Society needs to keep that in mind providing us accessibility at all times. I love the show for bringing awareness, but at the same time, things have not changed much. Hopefully, that will not be true as time goes on.

They never said the video would be in sign launguage. They said “check out her amazing skills” and when she was doing the intro and ending, she showed them.
And none of the videos on here are captioned I’m pretty sure.

But I can agree with you. Although pretty much every tv has closed captioning so people who can’t hear well can still watch tv.

The show is wonderful, it tells you so simply what it is to be in a family that has to deal with a handicap. All the actors seem to work so well together

  5. avatarJessica says:

I was surprised at how different from her character she sounds.

  6. avatarSheila says:

There’s no captions on this one!!!!! Please put captions in there when you can!

  7. avatarKarlerys says:

I wonder why it has no closed captions for deaf or hard of hearing people like us to watch the interview with Katie LeClerc or why couldn’t she sign the whole thing at same time she talk? But love Katie LeClerc though. :)

  8. avatarPaula says:

She has Meniere’s disease which does mean she has hearing loss. Katie is a former student of mine and she has overcome obstacles to get where she is today, which means that nothing is out of reach if you work hard and believe in yourself.
