Discuss: Is It Okay To Make Fun of Someone Who’s Made Fun Of You?

Fights between two gURLs can get a little catty, and when it’s between women in the spotlight, let’s just say it’s that-much-more magnified. In an effort to continue a longstanding feud between her and Christina Aguilera, Kelly Osbourne recently lashed out about X-tina’s weight.

Here’s what Kelly had to say about a picture of Christina during a recent episode of her show Fashion Police:

“Maybe she is just becoming the fat bitch was she was born to be. I don’t know. She was a c**t to me. And she bought my house! She called me fat for so many f***ing years, so you know what? F*** you. You’re fat too.”

WDYT? Is it ever okay to make fun of someone because they made fun of you first? Is Kelly just defending herself or is she being hurtful? Have you ever had a similar feud? Share your thoughts below.

No way. It is immature and stupid. I am very disappointed in Osbourne for doing such a thing. It is not good to stoop to other people’s levels

    no its immature

I am very disappointed in her behavior because I have watched her in interviews talking about how the ” media” and “people” hurt her because they judged her and talked about her weight. It makes me angry that she has become one of those “people” making fun of someone and being hurtful. Christina is wrong too but Kelly needs to learn that two wrongs don’t make it right. They both need to grow up and i officially do not like her now.

Kelly may have lost all that weight but that doesn’t change the fact that shes always been rude. Like come on your both grown already. Just stop it.

An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. Or perhaps without depth perception, depending upon how you look at it. ;) No, I don’t think it’s cool for Kelly to call Christina fat. Firstly, it strikes me as very childish. “You’re fat” “No, you’re fat” “No, you’re fat!” Sounds a *bit* like a fight on the kindergarten playground, don’t you think? You guys are adults, and celebrity or not, acting like kids isn’t appropriate. Secondly, all it does is lower Kelly to Christina’s level. Kelly can’t attack X-Tina for committing some act by committing the same one. It’s so hypocritical. “You’re a bad person for calling me fat, so I’m gonna call you fat” Seriously??! Also, with all the pressure from the media and society for women to be thin and all the body image issues, attacking people for their weight is so self-undermining. You’re just fueling the monster that bit you in the first place. I don’t think it’s ever cool for anyone to use fat as an insult. A person’s body isn’t a character flaw, it doesn’t define her, and it therefore is childish and illogical to bring it into argument. If Kelly really wanted to bug Christina, she simply should’ve acknowledged that the latter did something wrong and the dismissed it as unimportant. That would have made her the bigger person, and ultimately won her the argument by not stooping to Christina’s level. So, no, what Kelly did was not only really hurtful and wrong, but it embroiled her even deeper in the feud and only proved that she’s no better that Christina. Be the bigger effing person!!!

On a side note, I think both Kelly and Christina are totally gorgeous, and calling either of them fat is simply false.

–You know, I saw that episode and I didn’t think about it even being wrong, it just made you want to stand up and applaude her, I mean, putting her whole reputation to say her full emotion on that subject, I’m almost impressed, but thinking about it after the fact, yeah, it was kind of rude, but it was also kind of awesome. LoL.

I feel that Kelly did nothing wrong, she is defending herself. I was teased for a long time by this one dude in middle school, he called me fat, black and ugly often (he was like two shades lighter than me). He also use to say my hair was fake because it’s so long, he would say ” Black Girls Hair Don’t Grow” As sweet as I was at that time I had such a bad mouth that most of the dummys that bother people would leave me alone but he wouldn’t. I’m 19 now I lost all the weight and in College I saw him at a party and he was fat, still ugly, dirty, has two kids, he dropped out of high school in the tenth grade, and no job. When he tried to flirt with me saying how good I looked I let his ass have it, I talk about all his flaws. My point is that it’s an Eye of an Eye, if they did it to you, then you have every right to do it to them.

Well, in MY opinion :) No, it’s not right to make fun of someone because they did the same to you first, and I should know. I mean, yes, in a way she was defending herself, but she was still being rude and showing Christina that she could be on the same supposed level of cattiness as she. I mean, two wrongs don’t make a right; I understand that what people say are mean and the first instinct yells “GET THAT -insert right profane word here-” ;) But why backlash at each other when in the end—you’ll both still despise the other? Hollywood’s just a semi-elite high school in my eyes, stopped being interesting a while ago. Just sayin’ :)

I think Kelly should of been the bigger person and just kept whatever she felt to herself. I understand there is probably some anger built up by Kelly because Christina would call her fat and blah, blah, blah. But still she is a celebrity and anything and everything they say quickly gets around. That in my opinion makes Kelly look bad. Great Kelly you lost weight and are in the greatest shape of your life but you were once fat yourself. So why throw it in someones face?

kelly had no right to say that because she was big before and christina was always a slim person. she was under stress and on top of that she had a child ok ppl a person who was fat should never call someone else fat
