Spotlight On: Celebrity Gingers
There's no shortage of spicy gingers in Hollywood and now we can add Kristen Stewart to the fiery list. She recently chose a bella shade of strawberry blonde for her next flick (no, not Breaking Dawn)...
"I just wanted to keep it natural," she tells MTV about dying her locks for her role in the movie version of Jack Kerouac's On the Road. "In the book, [the character is] written with blue eyes and blonde ringlets, and I just felt I wanted to keep it natural," she said. "I didn't think that full-on blonde hair would look very natural on me. So I wanted to keep a little bit of brown that I naturally have, and I'm a little bit red, too. I just wanted it lighter."

Maintaining bright red hair is not an easy task. Sounds like Hayley could really use a wish right now...
"Red hair dye seems to hate us and hardly holds the way we want it to. You gotta fight for it, man!" Hayley tells Seventeen. "If I go 3 or 4 days between washes and only wash with color safe shampoo and freezing cold water, I can usually get a good 3 weeks of vibrant colored hair. Try to part from the shower a few days...liberate yourself. Use Johnson's baby powder or Bumble and Bumble's hair powder (which comes in a few different colors) in the roots to keep your hair looking full and (sorta) clean between washes."
Ariana's role as Cat on Victorious required that she dye her hair pink. Was it a smart move?
"Cat is kind of borderline dumb in most of the episodes but as the season goes on you definitely see that she's lost in her own world," Ariana tells NY PIX.
Rumer changes up her 'do a lot, from brunette to blonde to this pretty red hue. We're digging her no regrets attitude:
"If people call me a lesbian because I have short hair and I wear jeans instead of dresses, then by all means, run with it," she tells Page Six mag. "I think it's hilarious. I like guys."
Fame comes easy when you have pretty locks. Just ask Kay.
"I have the John Frieda Luminous Color Glaze in red, brunette, and blonde because I have all these colors in my hair," she tells talkingmakeup.com. "I hate dying my hair, I don't like all the chemicals. So for me it's natural hair with a little a bit of sun kissed highlights."
Evan Rachel Wood
Evan's ever-changing hair color can be attributed to her ever-changing on-screen roles. But we like her best as a redhead, especially since she's now reunited with fellow ginger Marilyn Manson. Wonder if they share hair care...
The Little Mermaid
Ariel's the only Disney princess with a red mane, and that's why we love her. And rhe fact that she uses a fork as a hairbrush makes her that much cooler.
Elly from La Roux
She's probably just "doing it for the thrill," but we love this fiery singer's 'do.
Kat Von D
Her millions of tattoos aren't the only thing that make Kat Von D stand out. That fabulous red hair makes her ten times cooler.
She's claimed she doesn't want to be known as "that girl with the red hair who was on American Idol," but we still idolize this starlet, red hair or not.
Emma's a natural blonde, but her breakout role in Superbad had her dying her hair a pretty shade of auburn.
"I have blonde hair naturally, but my mom's a redhead. I think it's a skin tone thing, but I love having red hair," Emma says to TeenHollywood. " It was actually Judd (Apatow) who made me a redhead."
This Wizard is a natural ginger, but she recently dyed her hair even redder to spice things up.
"I made my hair a little bit redder so I can be a little bit more Jessica Rabbit. A little bit more va-va-voom, if you will," Jennifer tells BOP and Tiger Beat.
This Step Up 2 The Streets starlet really stepped it up with her hair. That fiery red is not for the faint of heart!
Francis Bean Cobain
This rockin' daughter has a rockin' sense of style. The daughter of Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain, Frances' newly red locks (she's a natural brunette) help her fit right in with her edgy, grungy family.
It was Lily's natural red hair that made her a star! The British beauty's fiery mane caught the attention of British photographers and, well, the rest is history.
Deborah Ann Woll
The hottest redhead on TV right now, Deborah plays the newest vampire on True Blood. She may be the youngest and most innocent vamp, but her bright hair is the perfect contrast to all the blood that seems to accompany her in every scene.
The epitome of a pale-skinned, redhead goddess, Lauren Ambrose's signature hair always stands out, even in a red dress on a red carpet.
This songstress' tresses are beautifully bright, giving us yet another reason to fall for this fine Fine Frenzy chick.
Bryce Dallas Howard
Bryce's natural red hair is what helped her nab the part of Victoria in Eclipse ... but she still had to wear a wig.
"My natural hair color is an orange red, which is what is depicted in the book, but that Friday, I dyed my hair really dark and, by Monday, I had learned about it and flew out the next day. I showed up and they were like, this is not the girl we hired. Shooting had to start pretty quickly, so I wore a wig, which I was really happy about because it was really important to have continuity with the character. Even though my hair color was perhaps right, I felt that the texture and everything needed to be as exact as possible," Bryce tells Parade.
The How I Met Your Mother star proves that being different isn't so bad after all.
"In elementary school, people made fun of me because my skin was so white and I had black hair and wore black clothes." Alyson tells Teen People.
This pint-sized actress may only be 21, but she's already making a name for herself. You might recognize her as the sweet girl next door on The Secret Life of an American Teenager but keep your eyes open for this budding red-head!
The always stylish and forever trendy Rihanna never shies away from taking risks -- even with her hair.
"Don't be afraid to be yourself just because you're not like everybody else in class. If you want to dye your hair green and that's what makes you happy, then dye your hair green -- no matter what other people might say about it. Not everybody is going to like you. That's the world we live in. That's reality," she tells Seventeen.
Looks like we're not the only ones with a fever for Lefevre's luscious locks. Rachelle told Vanity Fair her "big" hair is her trademark.
"My hair walks into a room before I do."
Kate has a fantastic set of vocals but we have to be honest, her hair is to dye for. Is she a natural red head? Who cares?!

"When you're younger, being a redhead is... well, my two brothers teased me no end," she says.
Jayma shares something in common with her Glee character. She's a (hair) virgin. She's never dyed her hair, which she says is the exact same hue as her grandmother's. Gorgeous!
