I just cut my hair into a pixie cut again & when I read this last year when it was long, it inspired me!
I just needed to read it again for ideas cuz this time it’s even shorter LOL

Love this! Exactly like what happened to me. I had long black hair and since I had always ADORED short hair, I went to get a haircut. The next day when I went to school, everyone (well almost everyone) bombarded me with questions ” awww! Why did you cut your hair?!”.
I think I look beautiful with short hair but…sometimes, I do kind of regret cutting it so short. But then I make it spiky and curl it and then all that regret goes away!

I love this comic and everything you said about short hair.
I’ve cut my hair short ever since I was nine, and before that it was down to my butt. Ever since I’ve cut it, it hasn’t gone past my chin. I’ve had it layered, pixie, buzzed, bobbed, A-lined and spiked, and now half my head is shaved while the other half has long locks, and I don’t regret a single thing.
Every day I get stereotypes–people asking me if I’m a lesbian or if I’m a “punk rocker”–basically anything that can be said has been said. Even my mom doesn’t think the look can be feminine.
I love that you point out that it’s not the hairstyle wearing you, it’s you wearing the hairstyle, because even though my hair looks boyish, I am feminine, and I am never going back to long hair.
