will rogaine help my hair grow?

This might sound really dumb but, can I use Rogaine to make my short hair grow out faster???
It makes some sense to think that using Rogaine would help your short hair grow faster. Unfortunately, you are out of luck and will have to wait for Mother Nature to work her magic on your chrome-y dome. While many may have made claims to the contrary, there are no products or miracle cures that will significantly speed the rate of your hair’s growth. According to Rogaine customer service representative Linda Thompson, Rogaine has only been clinically tested on (and is therefore only safe for) women between the ages of 18-45 who are suffering from hereditary hair loss. Rogaine is a medical product (with potential side effects such as growth of unwanted facial hair, dizziness, chest pain and sudden, unexplained weight gain, to name a few) and is NOT recommended for any other type of hair loss, including that caused by a haircut.
For more information about Rogaine and its proper uses, I suggest you take a look at their website. Also, if you find that you begin losing your hair for no good reason, I recommend heading (no pun intended) to a dermatologist. Dermatologists are the hair care experts and will be better able to assess just what’s going on with your hair, why and what you can safely do about it.
